The Opportunity:

As a PE Teacher - Secondary, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality physical education and sports programs aligned with the National Curriculum for England. You will inspire students, develop their skills, and contribute to a dynamic and forward-thinking learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective PE lessons aligned with the National Curriculum for England.
  • Support students in developing physical, social, and emotional skills through a variety of sports and activities.
  • Prepare and implement lesson plans that promote student engagement and achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the PE curriculum and integrate innovative teaching methods.
  • Provide individual and group feedback to students to support their progress and development.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development activities.
  • Contribute to the school’s extracurricular programs and sporting events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A B.Ed. or degree and PGCE / PGDE or equivalent with exceptional subject knowledge in PE.
  • At least 3 years of experience delivering the National Curriculum for England.
  • Strong experience in teaching examination PE programmes such as GCSE, A Level, and/or BTEC Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications.
  • Relevant Level 2 qualifications or above in at least one primary PE discipline (e.g., Athletics, Basketball, Cricket, Dance, Football, Gymnastics, Hockey, Netball, Rounders, Rugby, Swimming).

Preferred

  • Experience with AI curriculum or technology-enhanced teaching methods.
  • Experience in coaching and delivering sports programs to primary-age students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
