The Opportunity:

As a Secondary English Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the academic and personal development of students across Grades 6–12. You will deliver engaging lessons, foster a love of literature, and support students in achieving excellence in the High School Diploma and IBDP programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach English across Grades 6–12, including High School Diploma and IBDP courses.
• Design and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that promote critical thinking and academic excellence.
• Implement effective assessment strategies to monitor student progress and inform instruction.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including EAL and high-ability students.
• Create a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student growth.
• Contribute to curriculum development and departmental resources.
• Maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress and wellbeing.
• Support extracurricular and enrichment programs that enhance student learning and engagement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or English with a teaching qualification.
• Valid teaching certification meeting local requirements.
• Minimum 3 years’ teaching experience, including High School Diploma and/or IBDP English.
• Strong knowledge of curriculum, assessment, and effective teaching practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an international, multicultural environment.

Preferred

• Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TEFL/TESOL).
• Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework.
• Demonstrated commitment to student wellbeing and safeguarding.
• Experience with innovative teaching methods and technology integration.
