Secondary Head of Arabic to lead curriculum development and teaching standards at a new school opening in August 2026.

The Opportunity:

As the Secondary Head of Arabic, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the curriculum, culture, and teaching standards of a brand-new secondary school. This is a unique opportunity to lead the establishment of a department from the ground up, ensuring excellence in Arabic education for students from Grade 6 to Grade 8.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of the Arabic curriculum for Grades 6 to 8.
  • Manage and support a team of Arabic teachers, providing guidance and professional development.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning experiences aligned with international standards.
  • Collaborate with other subject leaders to promote a cohesive and inclusive school culture.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, using data to inform teaching strategies and improve outcomes.
  • Engage with parents and the wider community to promote the school’s mission and values.
  • Integrate technology effectively to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Participate actively in extracurricular activities and school events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Arabic or a similar discipline.
  • Post Graduate Certificate in Education (or equivalent).
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Strong understanding of teaching and learning practices.
  • Proficient in using technology to support teaching and learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience teaching GCSE/IGCSE/A-Level courses.

Preferred

  • National Professional Qualification Middle Leadership (NPQML).
  • National Professional Qualification Leading Teaching (NPQLT).
  • Experience in curriculum development or leadership roles.
  • Proven record of improving student outcomes.
