A school is seeking a passionate and driven Librarian to develop and manage a bilingual learning environment that supports student inquiry, literacy, and research skills. This role is ideal for someone who is innovative, tech-savvy, and committed to student success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop a dynamic, bilingual (Arabic and English) library environment.
  • Support curriculum outcomes through modern approaches to library provision.
  • Use technology to enhance teaching and learning in the library.
  • Engage, motivate, and support students, staff, and parents.
  • Collaborate with teachers and school leaders to align library services with educational goals.
  • Participate in and lead extra-curricular activities.
  • Promote a culture of reading, literacy, and research.
  • Implement and manage library software effectively.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in library science or library services.
  • Experience in managing and working in school libraries.
  • Passion for reading, literacy, study, and research.
  • Strong ability to use technology to support teaching and learning.
  • Confidence in managing library software.
  • Ability to engage, motivate, and support children, staff, and parents.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented approach.
  • Willingness to be fully involved in extra-curricular activities.
  • Commitment to student-centered decision-making.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading library services in a bilingual setting.
  • International Baccalaureate experience and knowledge.
  • Experience with the National Curriculum for England.
  • Proven ability to drive positive change in an educational context.
  • Experience working in the UAE.
