Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and innovative music lessons aligned with the National Curriculum for England and Wales.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that cater to diverse learning needs and promote student achievement.
- Support the pastoral care of students, ensuring their academic, social, and emotional well-being.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the school’s music programme and contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to maintain and enhance teaching expertise.
- Maintain accurate records and reports in line with school policies and procedures.
- Engage with parents and the wider school community to promote music education and student success.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Music Teacher with a relevant teaching qualification (e.g., B.Ed., PGCE).
- Proven track record of delivering outstanding results at A Level.
- Full working knowledge of the National Curriculum for England and Wales and its assessment practices.
- Strong commitment to the pastoral care and safeguarding of students.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively.
- Availability to join the school in August 2026.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering music education within a British curriculum setting.
- Familiarity with inclusive teaching practices and student-centered learning approaches.
- Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience within a school environment.
