The Opportunity:
As a Drama Teacher, you will play a key role in inspiring students through creative and engaging lessons. You will contribute to a vibrant Expressive Arts faculty and help shape the educational experience of students in a school known for its outstanding progress and Ofsted Outstanding rating.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality drama lessons that foster creativity and critical thinking.
- Develop and implement engaging curriculum content aligned with school objectives.
- Support student progress through personalized feedback and assessment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Expressive Arts faculty and school-wide initiatives.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to maintain and enhance teaching expertise.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and school events.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
- Work closely with the house system and pastoral support structures to enhance student well-being.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in drama education.
- Strong knowledge of drama pedagogy and curriculum development.
- Commitment to student well-being and inclusive education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching drama at Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Experience in delivering drama at A Level or equivalent.
- Experience with co-curricular and extracurricular drama activities.
- Familiarity with the use of technology in drama education.
