The Opportunity:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Administrator - Purchase Ledger to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the accurate and timely management of purchase ledger processes. The ideal candidate will contribute to the financial efficiency and transparency of a school that values professionalism and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the purchase ledger with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ensure all financial transactions are recorded correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain up-to-date records and reports for internal and external audits.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure smooth operations and compliance with financial policies.
  • Support the preparation of monthly, termly, and annual financial statements.
  • Assist in the reconciliation of accounts and resolution of discrepancies.
  • Provide accurate financial data to support decision-making processes.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards and internal procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in purchase ledger or accounts management.
  • Strong computer literacy with proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent keyboard skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in a school or educational setting is advantageous.

Preferred

  • Experience with financial reporting and audit processes.
  • Familiarity with school finance systems and processes.
