Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, inclusive early years education tailored to the needs of each learner.
  • Work closely with medical and therapy professionals to support the holistic development of pupils.
  • Create and implement individualised learning plans that promote meaningful engagement and progress.
  • Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages participation and communication.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency and continuity in teaching and support strategies.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing regular feedback to parents and carers.
  • Participate in professional development and training to enhance teaching practice and support skills.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all pupils, adhering to safeguarding and welfare policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a primary teaching qualification or on an approved training route.
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly in early years settings.
  • Strong commitment to inclusive practice and pupil wellbeing.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with pupils with physical disabilities and complex medical needs.
  • Knowledge of SEN frameworks and best practice in early years education.
  • Experience in creating and delivering individualised learning plans.
  • Familiarity with therapeutic interventions and sensory support strategies.
