The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Geography Teacher to deliver high-quality lessons and inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4. This role offers the chance to be part of a supportive and collaborative team, driving excellence in education and student development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and well-structured Geography lessons that foster curiosity and understanding of physical and human geography.
  • Collaborate with the Humanities team to plan and deliver an ambitious and coherent curriculum.
  • Support student behaviour, inclusion, and safeguarding to ensure a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Promote student progress, personal development, and wellbeing, particularly for those who are vulnerable or disadvantaged.
  • Contribute to the school’s ethos, vision, and inclusive culture in all aspects of work.
  • Participate in initiatives, enrichment opportunities, and the broader life of the school.
  • Drive excellence in teaching and learning through effective assessment and professional development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
  • Experience teaching Geography at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Strong track record of delivering high-quality lessons and achieving positive student outcomes.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and student wellbeing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a Catholic school or with a similar ethos.
  • Experience with curriculum development and collaborative teaching.
  • Knowledge of current Geography teaching methodologies and resources.
  • Experience with pastoral care and student support.
