The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with special educational needs in the classroom and during targeted interventions.
  • Work closely with the SENCO and class teachers to adapt lesson delivery and implement effective strategies.
  • Deliver creative and engaging interventions that build student confidence and motivation.
  • Assist in identifying and addressing barriers to learning for vulnerable students.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure all students receive the support they need to succeed.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with staff and parents.
  • Participate in staff development and training to enhance support strategies.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture that values every student.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with students with special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and take initiative.
  • Commitment to supporting student achievement and wellbeing.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or a related field.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of inclusive teaching strategies and SEND frameworks.
  • Experience with behaviour management and pastoral support.
  • Familiarity with assistive technologies and learning support tools.
