The Opportunity:

An Early Career Teacher of English is needed to join a dynamic English department, delivering creative and engaging lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and creative English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Support students in developing strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
• Participate in a structured and high-quality ECT induction programme
• Collaborate with a skilled and supportive English team
• Contribute to a culture of high expectations and positive behaviour
• Promote the school’s values and vision of excellence
• Engage learners of all abilities and backgrounds
• Contribute to the planning and delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or due to gain it
• A genuine passion for English and a love of literature
• Commitment to achieving the best outcomes for all students
• Reflective and motivated approach to teaching practice
• Ability to inspire and engage learners of all abilities

Preferred

• Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
• Experience in delivering lessons across multiple Key Stages
• Experience in working within a multi-academy trust
• Experience in curriculum development or leadership roles
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
