The Opportunity:
An Early Career Teacher of English is needed to join a dynamic English department, delivering creative and engaging lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. This role offers a structured induction programme, collaboration with experienced colleagues, and a commitment to professional development and student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and creative English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Support students in developing strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
- Participate in a structured and high-quality ECT induction programme
- Collaborate with a skilled and supportive English team
- Contribute to a culture of high expectations and positive behaviour
- Promote the school’s values and vision of excellence
- Engage learners of all abilities and backgrounds
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or due to gain it
- A genuine passion for English and a love of literature
- Commitment to achieving the best outcomes for all students
- Reflective and motivated approach to teaching practice
- Ability to inspire and engage learners of all abilities
Preferred
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
- Experience in delivering lessons across multiple Key Stages
- Experience in working within a multi-academy trust
- Experience in curriculum development or leadership roles
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
