Summary:

Lunchtime Supervisor – Term time only, 6.5 or 4 hours per week.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Lunchtime Supervisor to ensure the safety, well-being, and good conduct of students during lunchtimes. This is a vital role in maintaining a positive and secure environment for students throughout the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and supervise students during lunchtimes to ensure their safety and good conduct.
  • Work under the direction of the Lead Lunchtime Supervisor to maintain high standards of student welfare.
  • Assist in managing student behavior and addressing any concerns promptly.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive atmosphere during lunch periods.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to support the overall school environment.
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and maintain a safe and respectful environment for all students.
  • Ensure compliance with school policies and procedures at all times.
  • Provide support to students in need during lunch breaks.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with young people, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure.
  • Commitment to student safety and well-being.
  • Flexibility to work during lunchtimes, either 6.5 or 4 hours per week term time only.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or pastoral role.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection policies.
  • Experience with behaviour management strategies.
  • Understanding of school routines and student welfare practices.
