The Opportunity:

As an SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the learning experiences of students with additional needs. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a supportive and collaborative team, delivering personalised education that empowers students to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons aligned with the school curriculum
  • Monitor, assess and celebrate student progress regularly
  • Develop and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs), behaviour plans, and learning pathways
  • Create a safe, structured, and motivating classroom environment
  • Work collaboratively with support staff and multidisciplinary teams
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and whole-school development initiatives
  • Organise resources and learning materials that promote student engagement
  • Ensure all activities are planned with pupil safety and risk management in mind

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a primary or secondary teaching qualification
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to create and deliver personalised learning plans
  • Commitment to inclusive education and student wellbeing

Preferred

  • Experience working with students with SEMH, communication and interaction difficulties
  • Familiarity with behaviour management strategies
  • Experience with evidence-based teaching approaches
  • Confidence in working with multidisciplinary teams and external professionals
