Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and direction of the Computing department
  • Design and implement a high-quality, cutting-edge curriculum
  • Inspire and challenge students through innovative teaching methods
  • Support the development of schemes of work and resources
  • Organize and lead extra-curricular and educational visits
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental and school-wide initiatives
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development
  • Ensure all students achieve exceptional outcomes in Computing

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in a similar role
  • Strong subject knowledge in Computing and ICT
  • Experience in curriculum development
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare

Preferred

  • Experience in leading a new or developing department
  • Familiarity with current trends and technologies in Computing education
  • Experience with extra-curricular activities and educational visits
  • Background in a high-performing school or academy
