Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and direction of the Computing department
- Design and implement a high-quality, cutting-edge curriculum
- Inspire and challenge students through innovative teaching methods
- Support the development of schemes of work and resources
- Organize and lead extra-curricular and educational visits
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental and school-wide initiatives
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development
- Ensure all students achieve exceptional outcomes in Computing
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven leadership experience in a similar role
- Strong subject knowledge in Computing and ICT
- Experience in curriculum development
- Ability to inspire and motivate students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
Preferred
- Experience in leading a new or developing department
- Familiarity with current trends and technologies in Computing education
- Experience with extra-curricular activities and educational visits
- Background in a high-performing school or academy
