The Opportunity:
As a SEND Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering engaging, individualised learning experiences that support the academic, social, and emotional development of pupils with complex needs. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver personalised lessons tailored to pupils with complex SEN and ASC needs
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff to create a holistic learning environment
- Promote the social, emotional, and academic growth of each pupil
- Foster an inclusive and welcoming classroom culture where all children feel valued and supported
- Ensure the highest standards of safeguarding, wellbeing, and professional practice
- Support the development of individualised education plans and track pupil progress
- Work closely with parents and carers to ensure consistency and support for pupils
- Participate in staff development and training to enhance teaching practices
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – ECTs and newly qualified teachers are welcome
- A recognised degree
- Passion and creativity in working with pupils with SEN/ASC
- Commitment to inclusive education and child wellbeing
Preferred
- Experience working with children in Early Years, Reception, or Key Stage 1
- Demonstrated ability to manage a classroom and support diverse learning needs
- Experience with personalised learning and individualised education plans
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
