The Opportunity:

As a SEND Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering engaging, individualised learning experiences that support the academic, social, and emotional development of pupils with complex needs. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver personalised lessons tailored to pupils with complex SEN and ASC needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff to create a holistic learning environment
  • Promote the social, emotional, and academic growth of each pupil
  • Foster an inclusive and welcoming classroom culture where all children feel valued and supported
  • Ensure the highest standards of safeguarding, wellbeing, and professional practice
  • Support the development of individualised education plans and track pupil progress
  • Work closely with parents and carers to ensure consistency and support for pupils
  • Participate in staff development and training to enhance teaching practices

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – ECTs and newly qualified teachers are welcome
  • A recognised degree
  • Passion and creativity in working with pupils with SEN/ASC
  • Commitment to inclusive education and child wellbeing

Preferred

  • Experience working with children in Early Years, Reception, or Key Stage 1
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a classroom and support diverse learning needs
  • Experience with personalised learning and individualised education plans
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
