The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Physics Teacher to join a successful and supportive department. This role involves teaching Physics across key stages 3 and 4, with the potential to deliver A-level if experienced. The successful candidate will contribute to a department known for its high standards and strong student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Physics lessons to students across key stages 3 and 4.
  • Support students in achieving excellent academic results and fostering a love of Physics.
  • Work collaboratively with the Science Department to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, staff training, and school events.
  • Contribute to the development of the curriculum and extracurricular activities.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Engage with parents and the wider school community through regular communication.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience in Physics.
  • Ability to teach Physics at key stages 3 and 4.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student progress and academic excellence.
  • Willingness to work as part of a team and take on additional responsibilities where required.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching A-level Physics.
  • Knowledge of current educational trends and best practices in Science education.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Experience working in a Church of England school or similar environment.
