The Opportunity:

As a SEND Tutor, you will provide individualised support to students with complex needs, helping them achieve academic success and personal growth. This role offers flexibility, competitive pay, and the chance to make a meaningful impact in your community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 1-1 tuition in Maths, English, or Science to students with SEND and SEMH needs
  • Support learners from KS1 to KS5 through trauma-informed, flexible teaching
  • Plan and report on lessons, providing regular feedback on student progress
  • Collaborate with a dedicated SEND support team to ensure a safe and effective learning environment
  • Contribute to raising educational standards for vulnerable young people
  • Engage with students in a creative, flexible, and holistic manner
  • Maintain accurate records and communication with stakeholders
  • Participate in continuous professional development and mentorship programs

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • 2+ years of online or in-person teaching experience, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or PMLD students
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
  • 2+ professional references
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment
  • Ability to work flexibly and independently

Preferred

  • Experience with trauma-informed teaching methods
  • Experience working with students across KS1 to KS5
  • Experience with remote or hybrid teaching
  • Background in SENDCo, LSA, TA, or educational therapy
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Compensation & Benefits:
