The Opportunity:
We are seeking experienced SEN Tutors to work in Surrey, providing one-on-one support to students with a range of special educational needs. This is an ideal opportunity for passionate educators who are dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the lives of students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, individualised tuition to students with special educational needs
- Follow the Bright Heart Approach to build trust, self-esteem, and academic progress
- Communicate regularly with parents, schools, and other professionals
- Prepare and review tailored learning plans for each student
- Attend training and development sessions to enhance skills and knowledge
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and feedback
- Ensure a safe and supportive learning environment for all students
- Collaborate with education consultants to provide consistent and effective teaching
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- At least 12 months of relevant tutoring or teaching experience in the UK
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Strong subject knowledge in the relevant tuition subject(s)
- University qualification or currently studying towards one, along with A-levels
- Passion for teaching and working with students with SEN
- Current Enhanced DBS certificate with a check of the children’s barred list
Preferred
- Experience working with students with severe SEN
- Previous experience in special education or related fields
- Familiarity with the National Tutoring Programme (NTP)
- Experience with online tutoring platforms
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
