The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated Maths Teacher to join an established department and contribute to the continued success of a school on the path to outstanding. This role offers the chance to inspire students aged 11–16 and play a key role in shaping their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Maths lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities.
- Support the development of a strong, collaborative department culture focused on continuous professional development.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure consistent standards of teaching and learning across the department.
- Promote the school’s core values of Aspiration, Respect, and Community in all interactions with students.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of the curriculum, ensuring alignment with the school’s specialism in science and enterprise.
- Provide pastoral support to students where appropriate, ensuring their personal and academic growth.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and other professional development opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
- Proven experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- Commitment to student progress and the development of a positive learning environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and take on leadership responsibilities.
Preferred
- Experience in departmental leadership or management.
- Familiarity with the school’s specialism in science and enterprise.
- Experience with data analysis and assessment strategies.
- Knowledge of innovative teaching methods and technologies.
