The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Maths Teacher to join an established department and contribute to the continued success of a school on the path to outstanding. This role offers the chance to inspire students aged 11–16 and play a key role in shaping their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities.
  • Support the development of a strong, collaborative department culture focused on continuous professional development.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure consistent standards of teaching and learning across the department.

  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of the curriculum, ensuring alignment with the school’s specialism in science and enterprise.
  • Provide pastoral support to students where appropriate, ensuring their personal and academic growth.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
  • Proven experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to student progress and the development of a positive learning environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and take on leadership responsibilities.

Preferred

  • Experience in departmental leadership or management.
  • Familiarity with the school’s specialism in science and enterprise.
  • Experience with data analysis and assessment strategies.
  • Knowledge of innovative teaching methods and technologies.
