Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and process complex accounting transactions and year-end adjustments.
- Support the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements.
- Liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including staff, parents, and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
- Contribute to budgetary planning and forecasting across the school group.
- Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Maintain strong relationships with key departments and external partners.
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial processes and systems.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a senior finance role, preferably within the education sector.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Experience in managing complex financial processes and budgets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and systems.
Preferred
- Experience in a school or educational institution with diverse operations.
- Familiarity with educational finance and budgeting processes.
- Experience with financial software such as Sage or QuickBooks.
- Knowledge of UK financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience in managing multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
