The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and inspiring Spanish Teacher 0.5 FTE to join our vibrant Junior School community. This is an opportunity to nurture a love of Spanish in Key Stage 2 pupils and create engaging lessons that foster confidence and curiosity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and imaginative Spanish lessons to Key Stage 2 pupils
- Create a warm, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
- Encourage pupils to communicate confidently and develop a genuine enjoyment of languages
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the wider life of the school
- Build positive relationships with students and support their academic and personal development
- Work as part of a team to deliver high-quality, pupil-centred teaching
- Ensure high expectations of pupils’ achievement and behaviour
- Support the school’s mission to provide a challenging and positive learning environment
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for Spanish language and culture
- Experience of teaching Spanish within a primary or prep school setting
- Strong academic background and commitment to delivering high-quality teaching
- Ability to create engaging and imaginative lessons for Key Stage 2 pupils
- High expectations of pupils’ achievement and behaviour
Preferred
- Experience working in a collaborative team environment
- Keen to contribute to the wider life of the school
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with pupil-centred teaching approaches
