The Opportunity:

As a Speech & Debate Teacher, you will lead a competitive program that develops students' public speaking, critical thinking, and debate skills. This role is ideal for educators passionate about fostering intellectual growth and preparing students for success in regional and international tournaments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement a competitive Speech & Debate program for Grades 7 to 12.
  • Prepare students for success in debate, limited preparation, and public speaking events.
  • Oversee tournament registration and logistics, including travel arrangements and online event coordination.
  • Deliver subject instruction that exceeds grade-level standards and produces exceptional student outcomes.
  • Build meaningful relationships with students to support their academic and personal development.
  • Pursue continuous professional growth through training, collaboration, and staying current with educational best practices.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative school environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in the subject area.
  • At least two years of experience as a lead teacher.
  • Commitment to maintaining high academic standards and international education rigor.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in competitive debate or public speaking instruction.
  • Familiarity with international education standards and curricula.
  • Experience with online and hybrid teaching formats.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and support student growth.
