The Opportunity:

As a Student Experience Manager, you will lead and develop the Careers/IAG and Work Experience programmes, ensuring that students receive the support and guidance they need to succeed. This role is central to enhancing student outcomes and promoting personal development, with a strong focus on equality, diversity, and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver the Careers/IAG and Work Experience programmes for 16-18 study programmes.
  • Oversee the personal development and enrichment opportunities for students across multiple centres.
  • Line manage the student experience team, providing leadership and support to ensure high-quality service.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement strategies that support student progression.
  • Ensure compliance with Gatsby Benchmarks and promote opportunities in further, higher education, and employment.
  • Work closely with staff across departments to enhance student outcomes and engagement.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and external partners.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of programmes to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with institutional goals.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in an education setting, ideally within further education or youth services.
  • Strong knowledge of Gatsby Benchmarks and progression pathways in education and employment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Experience in managing and developing teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering careers advice and work experience opportunities.
  • Familiarity with learner support systems and student engagement strategies.
  • Experience in developing and implementing educational strategies.
  • Knowledge of adult education and lifelong learning principles.
