Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the teaching and learning strategy across the school.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Support staff in professional development and provide mentorship where needed.
  • Work closely with the Headteacher to implement school-wide initiatives that enhance pupil outcomes.
  • Promote a culture of innovation and best practice in teaching and learning.
  • Ensure that all teaching and learning activities align with the school’s mission and values.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to maintain high standards of academic achievement and student well-being.
  • Oversee the implementation of assessment and feedback systems to support pupil progress.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within education.
  • Strong knowledge of current pedagogical practices and curriculum development.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive improvement and achieve high standards in teaching and learning.
  • Commitment to the holistic development of students and staff well-being.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading large-scale educational initiatives or reforms.
  • Background in school improvement or Ofsted inspection processes.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and its application in educational settings.
  • Experience in staff development and training programs.
  • Strong understanding of school leadership frameworks and policies.
