The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Swim Teacher (Casual) to join our expanding swim programme. This role involves delivering high-quality swimming lessons to students in the evenings and at weekends. The successful candidate will be passionate about teaching and committed to student safety and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective swimming lessons in line with the Swim England National Plan for Teaching Swimming.
- Ensure a safe and enjoyable learning environment for all students.
- Use initiative to develop and improve teaching methods and student engagement.
- Attend and complete required CPD training to maintain high standards of teaching.
- Work flexibly with a varied schedule that includes evenings and weekends.
- Collaborate with other members of the Foundation Services Department to support the school’s swimming and leisure programme.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
- Promote the school’s swimming programme to the wider community.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Level 2 Swim Teacher qualification.
- Experience in teaching swimming to children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Commitment to student safety and welfare.
Preferred
- Knowledge of the Swim England National Plan for Teaching Swimming.
- Experience with CPD training in swimming instruction.
- Previous experience working in a school or educational setting.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
