The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Swim Teacher (Casual) to join our expanding swim programme. This role involves delivering high-quality swimming lessons to students in the evenings and at weekends. The successful candidate will be passionate about teaching and committed to student safety and development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective swimming lessons in line with the Swim England National Plan for Teaching Swimming.
• Ensure a safe and enjoyable learning environment for all students.
• Use initiative to develop and improve teaching methods and student engagement.
• Attend and complete required CPD training to maintain high standards of teaching.
• Work flexibly with a varied schedule that includes evenings and weekends.
• Collaborate with other members of the Foundation Services Department to support the school’s swimming and leisure programme.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
• Promote the school’s swimming programme to the wider community.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Level 2 Swim Teacher qualification.
• Experience in teaching swimming to children.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Commitment to student safety and welfare.

Preferred

• Knowledge of the Swim England National Plan for Teaching Swimming.
• Experience with CPD training in swimming instruction.
• Previous experience working in a school or educational setting.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
