The Opportunity:
As a PE Teacher, you will play a vital role in helping young people achieve their full potential through high-quality teaching and inclusive practice. You will be responsible for teaching girls’ PE across KS3 and KS4, while also contributing to the school’s extra-curricular and personal development programme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach PE to girls across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Support students’ wellbeing and personal development as a form tutor.
- Contribute to the delivery of extra-curricular sport and enrichment activities.
- Promote the school’s values through professional and inclusive teaching practices.
- Build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
- Encourage student attainment and personal development through high expectations.
- Engage in continuous professional development and leadership opportunities.
- Uphold the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant PE qualifications.
- Experience teaching PE at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Strong subject knowledge in PE.
- Commitment to inclusive and adaptive teaching practices.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
- Passion for helping young people achieve their full potential.
Preferred
- Experience in extra-curricular sport or enrichment activities.
- Experience with form tutoring or pastoral care.
- Experience in a Church of England or faith-based school setting.
- Experience in safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Experience with continuous professional development and leadership opportunities.
