The Opportunity:
As a Teacher in Springboard, you will play a crucial role in supporting learners who have faced challenges in traditional secondary education. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and flexible teaching/learning programmes tailored to individual learner needs.
- Plan and develop learning resources that support the achievement of personal progress targets.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support development.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages self-confidence and work-readiness.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create and implement effective learning strategies and trips.
- Maintain high standards of teaching and curriculum development across all areas of learning.
- Support learners in developing essential soft skills for future education and employment.
- Ensure the quality and effectiveness of all teaching practices and resources.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Enthusiasm, resilience, and a strong motivation to support learners with SEMH needs.
- Literacy and Numeracy to at least Level 2.
- A Level 3 qualification or equivalent, with a commitment to achieving a Level 5 Diploma (DTLLS) or equivalent within 3 years.
- Relevant assessment qualifications such as IQA/A1/V1.
- Evidence of current Continuous Professional Development.
- Strong communication and team-working skills.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching learners with SEMH needs.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
- Experience in delivering trips and visits as part of the learning programme.
- A Level 4 Teaching Qualification such as a Certificate in Education, PGCE, or Bachelor of Education.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary range from £33,809 to £46,633.
