The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality ICT & Computing lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities.
  • Plan and prepare schemes of work and individual lessons tailored to the needs and abilities of students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and support the development of the ICT & Computing curriculum.
  • Stay up to date with developments in ICT and computing, integrating innovative teaching methods and technologies into lessons.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and respect.
  • Support the school’s Catholic ethos and values in all aspects of teaching and learning.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and events that promote student engagement and achievement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in ICT & Computing.
  • Proven experience in teaching ICT & Computing at a secondary level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s Catholic values and ethos.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering innovative and engaging ICT & Computing lessons.
  • A track record of achieving positive student outcomes and exam results.
  • Experience with digital technologies and software relevant to the subject.
  • Experience in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and a commitment to lifelong learning.
