Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning that ensures successful outcomes for all students
  • Plan and prepare courses, schemes of work, and individual lessons that meet the needs and interests of students
  • Inspire and motivate students through innovative and engaging teaching methods
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to support the school’s mission and values
  • Adapt to challenging situations and respond appropriately to ensure a positive learning environment
  • Demonstrate strong moral and ethical principles in all aspects of the role

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A relevant teaching qualification and experience in delivering Music education
  • A passion for the subject and a commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
  • The ability to challenge, inspire, and motivate students
  • A proven track record of outstanding progress in external examinations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people

Preferred

  • Experience in working within a Catholic educational setting
  • A background in Continuing Professional Development and a willingness to engage with training opportunities
  • Experience with innovative teaching methods and the use of technology in the classroom
  • A good sense of humour and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
