The Opportunity:

As a Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young people aged 16+ through their personal, social, and educational development. You will help them build confidence, life skills, and a strong sense of identity, preparing them for a successful transition into adulthood. Key Responsibilities:

• Support and guide young people in their personal, social, and educational development.
• Organise and deliver educational programs and recreational activities such as sports, arts, and drama.
• Assess and support the health, social, and emotional needs of young people.
• Plan and manage community and social events to promote engagement and development.
• Help young people understand key values, ideas, and life skills.
• Build and maintain positive, trusting relationships with young people.
• Ensure a safe and respectful environment for all learners.
• Collaborate with other staff to support the overall development and well-being of young people.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Previous relevant experience working with young people.
• Strong knowledge of creating and maintaining healthy relationships based on trust and respect.
• Ability to support young people in developing confidence and life skills.
• Experience in organising and delivering educational and recreational activities.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.

Preferred

• Experience in youth work or a related field.
• Knowledge of educational frameworks and support systems for young people.
• Experience working with young people aged 16+.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with the use of virtual learning environments (VLE) and digital tools.
