The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students and contribute to a positive learning environment. This role is central to helping students achieve their full potential and thrive in a supportive, inclusive community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in delivering high-quality instruction and managing classroom activities.
  • Assist with individual and group learning, providing tailored support to students with diverse needs.
  • Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment for all students.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement learning strategies.
  • Monitor and report on student progress and behaviour, providing feedback to the teaching team.
  • Participate in planning and preparation of resources and activities to enhance student learning.
  • Support the school’s commitment to inclusion by working with students with special educational needs.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching and support skills.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with children in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to supporting student learning and development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff.
  • Understanding of inclusive education and the needs of diverse learners.

Preferred

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs.
  • Familiarity with SEND support strategies and practices.
  • Experience in a school setting within a multi-academy trust.
  • Knowledge of current educational policies and practices.
