The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging lessons that align with the IB Middle Years Programme and inspire a passion for English.
- Support students in achieving academic success through differentiated instruction and personalized learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement a creative and challenging curriculum.
- Participate in weekly timetabled CPD sessions to enhance teaching practice and stay up to date with pedagogical research.
- Lead and contribute to extra-curricular activities, including public speaking competitions, theatre trips, and overseas experiences.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their learning and development.
- Engage in continuous professional development, both within the school and through external opportunities.
- Contribute to the school’s strong culture of inclusion, international mindedness, and student wellbeing.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in English education.
- Commitment to inclusive, student-centred teaching practices.
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for English.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and support colleagues.
- Experience in delivering a curriculum aligned with international standards.
Preferred
- Experience with the IB Middle Years Programme or similar curricula.
- Leadership experience or interest in taking on leadership roles.
- Experience in developing and leading extra-curricular activities.
- Familiarity with flexible working arrangements and a commitment to staff wellbeing.
- Experience in supporting student wellbeing and mental health.
