The Opportunity:

As the Head of Tennis, you will lead and develop the school’s tennis programme, promoting both excellence and enjoyment of the sport. This role offers the chance to make a lasting impact on students’ lives through high-quality coaching and fostering a passion for tennis within the school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the school’s tennis programme, ensuring high standards of coaching and competition.
  • Deliver structured tennis lessons and training sessions for students of all ability levels.
  • Promote participation and engagement in tennis across the school community.
  • Collaborate with other coaches and staff to integrate tennis into the broader school sporting and pastoral framework.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing feedback and support where needed.
  • Represent the school at external tennis events and competitions.
  • Contribute to the development of the school’s sporting culture and values.
  • Support the pastoral care of students where appropriate and in line with the school’s expectations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in tennis coaching at a senior level.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and deliver a comprehensive tennis programme.
  • Commitment to promoting inclusivity and student well-being.
  • Relevant qualifications in sports coaching or education.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of competitive tennis and tournament organisation.
  • Experience with pastoral care or student welfare.
  • Familiarity with coaching young people in a boarding or day school environment.
