Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality English lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities.
- Support student progress through effective teaching, assessment, and personalized learning strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative curriculum content.
- Participate in extracurricular activities, including music, sports, and DoE initiatives.
- Maintain strong, positive relationships with students, parents, and the wider school community.
- Contribute to staff development and professional growth opportunities.
- Monitor and report on student performance and progress regularly.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of enrichment and intervention programs.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification (QTS).
- Experience teaching English at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Commitment to working with students of all abilities and backgrounds.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly within a part-time role.
Preferred
- Experience with teaching English as a second language.
- Knowledge of inclusive teaching strategies and differentiated instruction.
- Experience in developing and leading extracurricular activities.
- Familiarity with using digital tools to enhance teaching and learning.
- Background in continuous professional development and staff mentoring.
