Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that support student progress and achievement.
  • Monitor and assess student performance to ensure continuous improvement and personal development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Maths curriculum and share best practices.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events to support student engagement and well-being.
  • Provide pastoral care and support to students where appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on student progress and attainment.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching and learning practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification (e.g., QTS).
  • Proven experience in teaching Maths at secondary level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and inclusive education.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching in a mixed ability classroom.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
  • Experience with curriculum development or leadership in a departmental setting.
  • Previous involvement in extracurricular activities or enrichment programs.
