The Opportunity:
A Teacher of Geography - Cover is needed to join a dynamic and supportive teaching team. This role involves teaching Year 7 to Year 10 Geography for 4 or 5 days per week, starting as soon as possible and lasting until Friday 13th February 2026. The successful candidate will contribute to the school's continued success in both academic and co-curricular areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Geography to Year 7 to Year 10 students for 4 or 5 days per week.
- Deliver engaging and interactive lessons that align with the school’s curriculum standards.
- Support students in achieving their full potential through differentiated instruction and assessment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
- Participate in staff meetings, planning sessions, and other school activities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and performance.
- Contribute to the pastoral care and overall well-being of students.
- Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Geography education.
- Experience teaching at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Strong subject knowledge in Geography.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
Preferred
- Experience in a school setting with a strong focus on academic and co-curricular excellence.
- Familiarity with independent school standards and expectations.
- Experience in delivering both theoretical and practical Geography lessons.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
