The Opportunity:
As a Teacher of Maths, you will play a key role in inspiring students and developing their confidence and curiosity in mathematics. You will deliver high-quality lessons that challenge and engage students, while supporting the Catholic ethos of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver inspiring, challenging, and engaging maths lessons that promote problem-solving and mathematical understanding.
- Foster a positive attitude towards learning and support students’ academic and personal development.
- Encourage students to see the relevance of mathematics in the wider world.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and support its mission as a Catholic community.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a consistent and high-quality teaching experience.
- Support the inclusion and well-being of all students, including those with special educational needs.
- Participate in professional development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure effective learning outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant maths experience.
- Strong commitment to the Catholic ethos and values.
- Ability to plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in supporting students’ academic and personal development.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching at a secondary level.
- Experience with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) and trauma-informed teaching.
- Familiarity with inclusive education practices.
- Experience with continuous professional development (CPD) and leadership opportunities.
- Strong track record in improving student outcomes and engagement.
