The Opportunity:

As a Teacher of Maths, you will play a key role in inspiring students and developing their confidence and curiosity in mathematics. You will deliver high-quality lessons that challenge and engage students, while supporting the Catholic ethos of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver inspiring, challenging, and engaging maths lessons that promote problem-solving and mathematical understanding.
  • Foster a positive attitude towards learning and support students’ academic and personal development.
  • Encourage students to see the relevance of mathematics in the wider world.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and support its mission as a Catholic community.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a consistent and high-quality teaching experience.
  • Support the inclusion and well-being of all students, including those with special educational needs.
  • Participate in professional development and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure effective learning outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant maths experience.
  • Strong commitment to the Catholic ethos and values.
  • Ability to plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in supporting students’ academic and personal development.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching at a secondary level.
  • Experience with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) and trauma-informed teaching.
  • Familiarity with inclusive education practices.
  • Experience with continuous professional development (CPD) and leadership opportunities.
  • Strong track record in improving student outcomes and engagement.
