The Opportunity:
A part time Music Teacher is required to contribute to a dynamic and growing Music programme. The role involves teaching young children and nurturing their musical talents and enthusiasm. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to make a meaningful impact on students' lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach pupils in the Early Years Foundation Stage (Nursery/Reception) and Key Stage 1 according to the timetable.
- Foster creativity, confidence, and a love of performance in young learners.
- Provide leadership and direction for the music programme across the school.
- Coordinate co-curricular music activities and manage visiting music staff.
- Implement initiatives to enhance the school’s music provision and student outcomes.
- Promote a wide range of musical styles and support pupils at all levels of musical ability.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the school to deliver a rich and engaging curriculum.
- Support the development of students as instrumental musicians or performers.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in early years or primary music education.
- Strong passion for teaching music to young children.
- Ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to the school’s values and mission.
Preferred
- Experience in leading or managing a music programme.
- Familiarity with co-curricular and extracurricular music provision.
- Experience with instrumental teaching or performance coaching.
- Knowledge of music technology and its use in education.
- Experience working within a school community that values diversity and inclusion.
