The Opportunity:

A part time Music Teacher is required to contribute to a dynamic and growing Music programme. The role involves teaching young children and nurturing their musical talents and enthusiasm. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to make a meaningful impact on students' lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach pupils in the Early Years Foundation Stage (Nursery/Reception) and Key Stage 1 according to the timetable.
  • Foster creativity, confidence, and a love of performance in young learners.
  • Provide leadership and direction for the music programme across the school.
  • Coordinate co-curricular music activities and manage visiting music staff.
  • Implement initiatives to enhance the school’s music provision and student outcomes.
  • Promote a wide range of musical styles and support pupils at all levels of musical ability.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the school to deliver a rich and engaging curriculum.
  • Support the development of students as instrumental musicians or performers.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in early years or primary music education.
  • Strong passion for teaching music to young children.
  • Ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s values and mission.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or managing a music programme.
  • Familiarity with co-curricular and extracurricular music provision.
