The Opportunity:

As a Teacher of Psychology, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality education to A-level students. This is a unique opportunity to inspire, challenge, and support students in a dynamic and well-resourced department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Psychology across the curriculum at A-level, following the AQA syllabus.
  • Contribute to the development of schemes of work, assessments, and teaching resources.
  • Support students in applying to leading universities, including Oxford and Cambridge.
  • Participate in the school’s pastoral system as a tutor in one of the 16 houses.
  • Engage in co-curricular activities, including the extensive Games programme and leadership of school societies.
  • Contribute to the extension programme and co-curricular clubs for younger students.
  • Support students in academic competitions such as the British Psychology Olympiad.
  • Participate in the Masterclass programme, sharing personal academic or cultural interests with students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Psychology.
  • Ability to deliver inspiring and challenging lessons to A-level students.
  • Experience in developing teaching resources and assessments.
  • Commitment to student pastoral care and support.
  • Willingness to contribute to co-curricular and extension activities.

Preferred

  • Experience with university application support, particularly for top institutions.
  • Involvement in academic competitions or extension programmes.
  • Experience with the British Psychology Olympiad or similar initiatives.
  • Background in pastoral care or student mentorship.
  • Interest in contributing to the Masterclass programme or other enrichment activities.
