The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate Teacher of Psychology to join our team on a one-year fixed term contract. This role offers the chance to shape student outcomes, support learners with barriers to learning, and be part of a forward-thinking educational federation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Psychology lessons that engage and challenge students
- Support students with barriers to learning and help them become independent learners
- Collaborate with colleagues across the federation to share best practices and resources
- Set clear expectations and maintain high standards in teaching and learning
- Contribute to the development of the Psychology curriculum and assessment strategies
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as needed
- Participate in professional development opportunities within the school and federation
- Monitor and report on student progress and achievement
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or eligible to apply for it
- Relevant experience in teaching Psychology or a related subject
- Commitment to student success and high academic standards
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and across a federation
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
Preferred
- Experience working with students with barriers to learning
- Experience in a federation or multi-academy trust setting
- Experience with safeguarding and pastoral support
- Knowledge of inclusive teaching practices
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment
