The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate Teacher of Psychology to join our team on a one-year fixed term contract. This role offers the chance to shape student outcomes, support learners with barriers to learning, and be part of a forward-thinking educational federation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Psychology lessons that engage and challenge students
  • Support students with barriers to learning and help them become independent learners
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the federation to share best practices and resources
  • Set clear expectations and maintain high standards in teaching and learning
  • Contribute to the development of the Psychology curriculum and assessment strategies
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as needed
  • Participate in professional development opportunities within the school and federation
  • Monitor and report on student progress and achievement

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or eligible to apply for it
  • Relevant experience in teaching Psychology or a related subject
  • Commitment to student success and high academic standards
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and across a federation
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills

Preferred

  • Experience working with students with barriers to learning
  • Experience in a federation or multi-academy trust setting
  • Experience with safeguarding and pastoral support
  • Knowledge of inclusive teaching practices
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment
