The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a dedicated Psychology Teacher to join its department and support students from Year 7 to Year 13. This role offers a chance to contribute to a high-achieving environment where professional growth and student success are prioritized.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Psychology lessons to students across all key stages.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that enhance student learning and achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning experience for all students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support continued development.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Psychology curriculum.
  • Support extracurricular activities and initiatives that promote student engagement and well-being.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the field of Psychology and incorporate new insights into teaching practice.
  • Provide pastoral care and guidance to students as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Psychology education.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver high-quality lessons.
  • Commitment to student achievement and a collaborative working style.
  • Experience working with students from Year 7 to Year 13.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or mentoring other teachers.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
  • Familiarity with teaching to diverse student needs, including those eligible for the Pupil Premium.
  • Experience with professional development and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programs.
