We are seeking a Temporary PE Teacher to join our dynamic department and support our students in achieving excellence in physical education and sports. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality PE lessons to students across all key stages.
- Organise and lead a range of extra-curricular sports activities and fixtures.
- Support the development of students’ physical and social skills through team games and recreational activities.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the PE department and across the school.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all students during PE and sports activities.
- Contribute to the school’s wider sporting culture and events.
- Monitor and assess student progress in PE and provide constructive feedback.
- Stay up to date with current developments in PE and sports education.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in PE.
- Ability to teach up to GCSE level.
- Commitment to team sports and extra-curricular activities.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Experience working with young people in a school setting.
Preferred
- Experience in a selective or Catholic school environment.
- Previous involvement in sports fixtures and clubs.
- Knowledge of Catholic education values and ideals.
- Experience with safeguarding and child welfare procedures.
