The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting student progress and achievement through a dynamic and inclusive PE curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach across the PE curriculum, including GCSE PE (AQA) and BTEC Sport.
  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons that promote student progress and achievement.
  • Supervise pupils in changing facilities, ensuring privacy and decency are maintained.
  • Lead and manage extra-curricular PE clubs to enhance student engagement and development.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the school’s mission and values.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of a cohesive and ambitious PE curriculum.
  • Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and other school-related activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Physical Education at the secondary level.
  • Commitment to promoting student achievement and inclusion.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and manage a range of responsibilities.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching GCSE PE (AQA) and BTEC Sport.
  • Experience in leading extra-curricular activities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with curriculum development and delivery.
