Key Responsibilities:
- Teach across the PE curriculum, including GCSE PE (AQA) and BTEC Sport.
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons that promote student progress and achievement.
- Supervise pupils in changing facilities, ensuring privacy and decency are maintained.
- Lead and manage extra-curricular PE clubs to enhance student engagement and development.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the school’s mission and values.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of a cohesive and ambitious PE curriculum.
- Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and other school-related activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Physical Education at the secondary level.
- Commitment to promoting student achievement and inclusion.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and manage a range of responsibilities.
Preferred
- Experience teaching GCSE PE (AQA) and BTEC Sport.
- Experience in leading extra-curricular activities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with curriculum development and delivery.
