Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Psychology lessons that inspire and engage students
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies aligned with curriculum requirements
- Support students in achieving their academic and personal goals
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the department
- Participate in continuous professional development and contribute to departmental initiatives
- Maintain accurate records and assess student progress effectively
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Stay up to date with current research and developments in the field of Psychology
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Psychology at Key Stage 4 and 5
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching Psychology
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team and manage workload under pressure
- Commitment to the school’s values of inclusion, excellence, and student achievement
Preferred
- Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives
- Experience with teaching in a multi-academy trust environment
- Experience with pastoral support or student mentoring
- Familiarity with using technology to enhance teaching and learning
