The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Geography lessons using a Direct Instruction approach.
- Ensure academic rigour and student progress across all year groups.
- Work with a dedicated team of Geography specialists to support student achievement.
- Develop and implement engaging and effective teaching strategies.
- Promote a culture of Hard Work, Integrity, and Kindness throughout the department.
- Support students in achieving excellent results, including at KS4 and KS5.
- Take responsibility for student outcomes and act accordingly.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Geography or a related subject.
- Experience teaching Geography up to KS4.
- Commitment to academic rigour and student success.
- Ability to work within a team and promote a positive school culture.
- Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills.
Preferred
- Experience with Direct Instruction teaching methods.
- Experience in developing and leading successful Geography departments.
- Experience with enrichment activities and extracurricular Geography opportunities.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
