Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach a knowledge-rich curriculum that supports excellent progress and a passion for learning.
  • Ensure a safe and positive environment that promotes exceptional behaviour and high expectations.
  • Prioritise reading to help all pupils master basic skills and develop a love of learning.
  • Engage in ongoing training and development to enhance your teaching practice and mastery of your subject.
  • Assess pupil knowledge regularly and provide targeted feedback and interventions to address learning gaps.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create and share resources that support effective teaching and learning.
  • Support the school’s mission to encourage the diverse talents of students and foster all-round development.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge.
  • Experience in teaching within a primary school setting.
  • Commitment to high standards of behaviour and pupil safety.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with curriculum development and lesson planning.
  • Knowledge of effective assessment and intervention strategies.
  • Experience in delivering a knowledge-rich and sequenced curriculum.
  • Familiarity with the use of technology in the classroom.
  • Experience in supporting student reading and literacy development.
