Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that align with curriculum requirements and support pupil progress.
  • Monitor and assess pupil performance to ensure continuous improvement and set clear targets for development.
  • Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and achievement.
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive and focused classroom.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver high-quality teaching programs and support school initiatives.
  • Participate in staff training and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice.
  • Ensure the teaching area is well-organised, safe, and conducive to learning.
  • Support and contribute to the wider school community through involvement in pastoral care and extracurricular activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Graduate degree and qualified teacher status.
  • Successful completion of initial teacher training.
  • Proven academic track record with experience in primary education.
  • Strong subject knowledge of the National Curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a Catholic school environment.
  • Knowledge of curriculum development and innovative teaching strategies.
  • Experience with pastoral care and student well-being.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and embrace continuous improvement.
