Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in the classroom by assisting with learning activities and managing student behavior.
- Provide individualised support to students, adapting teaching methods to meet their specific needs.
- Collaborate with teachers and senior staff to develop and implement effective learning strategies.
- Encourage student engagement and participation in classroom activities.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
- Assist with administrative tasks and classroom preparation as required.
- Promote positive relationships between students, teachers, and parents.
- Support the delivery of the school’s mission to foster independence and social competence in students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational support role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and support both students and teachers.
- Commitment to inclusive education and student welfare.
- Basic understanding of special educational needs and how to support students with diverse learning requirements.
Preferred
- Experience working with students with moderate learning difficulties and additional needs.
- Familiarity with inclusive teaching strategies and differentiated instruction.
- Experience with behaviour management in a classroom setting.
- Knowledge of SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) frameworks and policies.
- Experience in a school setting that values innovation and inclusion.
