The Opportunity:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support students with complex needs in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment. This role offers the chance to contribute to the personal growth and development of students, helping them reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support teaching staff in delivering high-quality education to students with complex needs.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of individualized learning activities.
- Promote positive behavior and create a safe, inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with other professionals to develop and implement individual education plans.
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students as required.
- Monitor student progress and report to teaching staff regularly.
- Engage with students and families to support their learning and well-being.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience working with children with complex learning needs and/or autism.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative when required.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Flexibility to work across multiple school sites as needed.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a special educational needs setting.
- Experience with teaching assistants or support roles in education.
- Knowledge of inclusive teaching strategies and practices.
- Experience with performing arts or creative activities.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary and term-time only working pattern.
- 36 hours per week, 39 weeks per year.
