Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in all aspects of learning, ensuring they achieve their full potential.
  • Assist with lesson planning and delivery under the guidance of the teaching team.
  • Provide one-to-one and group support to students, adapting teaching methods to suit individual needs.
  • Maintain a positive and encouraging classroom environment that promotes student engagement and motivation.
  • Communicate regularly with students, parents, and teaching staff to ensure consistent support.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teaching team.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
  • Ensure the safe and orderly conduct of students during lessons and breaks.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Good standard of education to GCSE Level in English & Maths.
  • Strong ICT skills.
  • Reliable, conscientious, and committed to supporting students in all aspects of learning.
  • Enthusiastic with the ability to relate to young people.
  • Understanding of the importance of the role and a team player.
  • Calm and composed with a good sense of humour.

Preferred

  • Experience in an educational setting or previous teaching assistant experience.
  • Experience with supporting students with diverse learning needs.
  • Knowledge of inclusive teaching practices.
  • Experience with classroom management techniques.
